This is the bike that started it all. Most of these bikes you'll find on e-Bay, Play it Again Sporting Goods type store & used fitness equipment stores will have had the life pounded out of them or they have been sitting for so long that even though they may look good; everything is dry and fried : ) A commercial bike never EVER wears out. They just start looking really crappy and all the incidentals wear out. What I do is most assuredly unparalleled. I tear em' down to the frame; then remove the corrosion, repaint the compromised areas; then rebuild from the ground up. If a part is even REMOTELY suspect, it is replaced. I use Shimano IG chains, ALL bikes get new flywheel bearing and Shimano UN-72 or 53 Bottom brackets. New pads, saddles, cages & sleeves are just some of the stuff that's usually replaced. Then the bike is tuned to perfection and sold with a LIFETIME warranty. Sure my prices are high, but I can assure you its worth EVERY penny : )
