Hot Tip of the Month- April 2007: “Cleaning your sweat after your ride”

It doesn’t matter if you are an instructor or a student. It makes all the difference in the world to take a couple of minutes and at the very least; wipe down the handlebars, saddle and the areas of the bike where you can visibly see sweat after your done with your ride. As an instructor; I also take an extra moment or two and wipe down the mic, especially the sweatband and actual microphone. Some of you may be thinking that I’m stating the obvious; BUT……. There are a lot of folks who ride the bikes and sweat all over everything; then just walk away. We salute you; you lazy bastards : ) I’m not suggesting you do a full detail, just leave it a little better than you found it. And if your one of those who play the “ No one else wipes their bikes off; so why should I ?” card……Then you are my target on this one.
