Hot Tip of the Month- May 2007: “How to unpack your
bike from the box”
When you get a bike in a box, there is an easy way to get it out. If you buy
a bike from my company it will most likely be double boxed. So if that’s
the case just follow the procedure twice. Turn the box upside down. First remove
the giant copper flavored staples. Using needle nose pliers is easiest, but
if you don’t have needle nose pliers use regular pliers or even a medium
flat blade screwdriver. Then run a razorblade or even a key up the center of
the box long ways to split the tape. Peel the flaps back and carefully turn
the box right side up. Lift the box straight up in the air and you will have
a spin bike exposed, ready to attack and assemble. Be sure and get a hold of
the newest manual from StudioCycles; The Ultimate Tech Manual Series Volume
5 – New bike Set Up and Assembly. This will make ALL the difference in
the world in how your bike rides and what type of issues you will miss out on
by doing it right; right from the start!
