Hot Tip of the Month- October 2005: "Using an Ipod
as your music source"
This is soooooo cool! I’ll admit I’m a little behind on the times.
I started seeing Ipods surface in the group cycling room at Gold’s Venice
where I also teach. Typically, I burn new music every class or two, and I usually
burn extra copies and give em’ away after I teach my class. So now, I’ve
started using an Ipod Nano, which is about an inch wide and about 3-4 inches
long. I load my music, in playlist form onto the Nano, plug it into the stereo
and I’m good to go. Now, granted ,because of the Nano’s size, I’m
hearing it is somewhat on the fragile side, but it is so cool to go in, have
multiple playlists at my fingertips. No more burning CD’s. If you’re
hard on your electronic creature comforts, you may want the Ipod Mini or even
a regular Ipod (take a look on EBay) because these two other Ipods are supposed
to be VERY durable. Until you get used to using an Ipod, of course you will
want to take a backup source to play in case you run into a problem. Already
happened to me and I just popped in a CD.
