Hot Tip of the Month- December 2007: “Don't Forget
the Little Things”
It's almost a new year and a new opportunity is right around the corner to
wrangle new clients. Not only getting them into the rooms and on the bikes,
but KEEPING them coming back. I think one of the most overlooked areas of the
bikes are the saddles. Not only the condition, but the angles and the hardware
underneath the saddle as well. When you put a tender rear end on a bike saddle
for the first time; lets hope the seat is adjusted correctly, its in decent
condition without any rips or tears and the hardware is tight underneath so
the saddle doesn't slip up or down. I always try to remember when I'm beginning
a class to ask for a show of hands of new people; I go over the safety stuff,
THEN let them know that also wearing proper clothing will help them with comfort
issues. I like to keep people coming back!
